In the picturesque, historic and typically Parisian setting of the Butte Montmartre (Place du Tertre, Montmartre vineyards, Montmartre basilica, etc.), participants will discover the neighborhood from the perspective of wine with our sommelier guide. It has been too often forgotten, but Île-de-France was throughout the Middle Ages, until around 1860, the leading wine-producing region in France.
Drawing on our knowledge of the neighborhood through our famous Walking Rallies, we will help you discover, off the beaten track, this legendary neighborhood from the perspective of anecdotes and Great History. The itinerary of this visit takes participants to discover the vineyards of Montmartre, the legendary Place du Tertre, rue Norvins, Amélie Poulain’s grocery store and to one of the last mills in Paris. The visit itself lasts approximately one hour and 45 minutes and is followed by a wine tasting.
