Hey there, ready to immerse yourself in the beauty and history of the Musée Rodin in Paris? Imagine strolling through this iconic museum with a private guide, bypassing the long lines to dive straight into the world of Auguste Rodin.
Back in 1916, just a year before his passing, the legendary sculptor himself, Auguste Rodin, generously left all his works and belongings to the French state. In return, the state acquired the Hôtel Biron and made a promise to transform it into a museum dedicated to Rodin. Fast forward to 1919, the Paris site welcomed its first visitors, followed by the opening of the Meudon site in 1948. This act of generosity by Rodin laid the foundation for the magnificent Musée Rodin we know today, a place where his masterpieces are beautifully displayed amidst the enchanting gardens of Paris.
Thanks to Rodin’s bequest, his intricate molds and models are still being used to create original bronze casts, spreading his artistic legacy far and wide across the globe. Please remember that the tour doesn’t include museum entrance tickets, but don’t worry – you can easily purchase them on the museum’s website or we’ll send you the link after you’ve booked your tour.
